SHIPPING WILL BE PAUSED BETWEEN
NOV 10-13, NOV 16-20, and DEC 1-4,
then will close for Christmas beginning
​DEC 19 through JAN 8.
All orders placed during shipping hold dates will be considered pre-orders and saved in queue.
These holds, as a solopreneur, are necessary to accommodate in person markets and family obligations. Wish I could bilocate, but alas! Thank you for your patience!

Martinmas

Saint Martin of Tours - German, Met NYC

Boy do we need the traditional Martinmas feast and calendar this year!  Advent is effectively only three weeks this year! Just too short for me!  I loved how in the old calendar, the time for spiritual preparation for Christmas began with a big feast on St. Martin's Day, November 11th, also our now Remembrance or Veterans Day.  It was a predictable 40 days each year that became what we know now as Advent.  Nothing is stopping us from adopting that spiritual timetable of beginning our pre-Advent preparations now!  Find out more about it here in my previous post.
